Instructors

Helping you get the most out of your own driving potential is a talented and diverse group of classroom and in-car instructors. We all remember what it’s like to be a student and work hard to make sure that YOU are getting what YOU want and need out of your performance driving event.

Our instructors have driven and raced a wide range of cars... in all sorts of different classes at tracks all around the country and instructed for a wide range of clubs and organizations. And best of all, they all LOVE instructing and helping you learn about and tap into your own abilities.

Jeff Lacina – Chief Instructor. Jeff has served as a driving instructor for a host of clubs and has recently accepted a position with National SVTOA as their Lead Instructor, Instructor Trainer and helping them promote and host “SVTOA On-Track” programs around the country. Over the last six years, Jeff has instructed for a wide range of groups and companies, including; Track Time, BMWCCA, Audi Quattro Club, PCA, SAAC and several Mustang and Cobra Clubs. He is a graduate of the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving in Phoenix , AZ. Here is a listing of the tracks that Jeff has driven. When he’s not riding with students, Jeff personal ride is a “tracked-out” 1995 Mustang GT.

Todd Zikas – Lead In-Car Instructor. Todd has been “on the fast track” with his driving instructing career. As a former drag racer, he decided that he needed more out of his driving than simply “going straight all the time!” Todd has worked as an instructor for SAAC, BMWCCA, PCA and the Audi Quattro Club. Todd enjoys working with a wide range of students, from pure novices to advanced drivers looking for those last few “finer points” of driving. Todd is the pilot of a very well prepared 1996 Mustang Cobra.

Ted Schwartz – In-car instructor: Ted is one of Track Guys’ top in-car instructors. He has been studying and fine-tuning his driving and instructing craft for more than eight years. In addition to his work with Track Guys, Ted is a graduate of the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving and instructs for the SAAC, BMWCCA, PCA and the Audio Quattro clubs. Ted is “deceptively fast in his very well prepared 1996 Mystic Cobra.

Boris Peharda In-car Instructor: Boris has been fortunate enough to have owned and enjoyed a wide range of cars over his driving and instructing “career”, including Porsches, Saabs, Saleen Mustangs, Cobras. He also has some “seat time” in the Porsche Club Racing Series and has driven at tracks all around the country and instructs for SAAC, BMWCCA, PCA, General Motors and the Audi Quattro Club. Boris’ current “track ride” is a 2000 Mustang GT convertible.

Paul Berg – In-car Instructor: Paul is a true “student” of driving and does an excellent job of relating his experiences and insights to his students. Paul has been wheeling his 1994 Mustang Cobra round different tracks for more than six years. In addition to his Track Guys instructing “gig”, Paul is another of our Track Guys’ instructors who is a graduate of the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving and currently instructs for the Shelby American Automobile Club and earns very high marks from his students.

Phil Farruggia – In-car Instructor: Phil is another one of those guys who enjoys teaching others as much as he enjoys his own driving. A Viper GTS pilot, Phil has developed a fine “feel” for what it takes to be a smooth and fast driver and does an excellent job conveying those “finer points” of driving to his students. And, if you’re a really GOOD student, maybe he’ll give you a ride in that FAST blue Viper of his!

Paul Brown – In-car Instructor: Chance are that if you’ve watched any of the “SpeedVision Cup” races over the past five or six years, you’ve seen Paul out there doing “wheel-to-wheel racing battle” in his Saleen Mustang SR. Paul is a hard-core racer that hasn’t forgotten what it’s like to be “just starting out” within high-performance driving. Paul’s vast “go FASTER” experience is a true asset to our Track Guys Instructor staff.

Natha Walbaum – In-car Instructor: Natha is the perfect example that women can be just as smooth... and just as fast as men. PERIOD. Natha is a graduate of the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving and is on the “fast track” in developing her own racing career, competing in SCCA Regional and National racing events in her T2-prepped 1996 Mustang Cobra.
